Iamagooddog.com is about helping homeless animals and having a little fun. The site, which offers 40,000 Good Dog Blocks at $10US each, will raise $400K to produce a feature film based on the screenplay entitled "Good Dogs". A DVD copy of the film will be given to each person that purchases one or more Good Dog Blocks and the film will be made available (at no charge) to non-profit animal groups everywhere, to screen as a fundraiser.
As soon as 40,000 Good Dog Blocks are sold, production of the film will begin and you and your Good Dog will have the opportunity to win cool prizes like a walk-on role in the film, autographed memorabilia, an invitation to the premiere, t-shirts, dog toys, posters, etc... The website itself will stand (for a minimum of five years) as a reflection of a group of Good Dogs (and their loving humans) that came together and helped make a difference for less fortunate animals. And because no filmmaker has ever raised money to produce a film in this way before - we will be making a little bit of history. Cool, huh?
A Good Dog Block is a square of internet history that can belong to your canine friend. Each Good Dog Block measure 40x40 pixels and each page is divided into 625 of these blocks. There are a total of 40,000 Good Dog Blocks available - and when they're gone - they're GONE.
When you buy a GD Block(s), you can display a photo, an ad or a logo of your choice (keeping within the theme of dogs please) in the space you have purchased and link that block(s) to a website, blog, photo, email address, YouTube video, etc... There are no obscene or offensive images or links allowed.
You can purchase multiple, separate GD Blocks or multiple grouped GD Blocks. Separate GD Blocks allow you to display say, three separate dogs. Grouped GD Blocks allow you to display a larger image of say, one dog. You can purchase as many GD Blocks as you'd like, as long as they are available.

Non-profit animal organizations rely on donations to care for the millions of unwanted animals that cycle through shelters each year. With this unique arrangement, an organization can bring in much needed revenue as well as stir dialogue about the challenges that exist for animals in our society.
My name is Rebecca A. Rodriguez. I am a self-taught, award-winning filmmaker and animal advocate living in the Pacific Northwest. I have been working for animals since I founded a humane society on the island of Guam in 1989. I started writing screenplays in 1998 and began directing in 2000.
I have written, produced and directed several short films, a couple music videos, one feature film (Best Feature, Reel Women International Film Festival) and a few commercials. My work has screened at numerous film festivals like The Seattle International Film Festival, The Philadelphia Festival of World Cinema, American Short Shorts Japan & Singapore and Palm Springs International Film Festival. You may have even seen my short film "Floater" which screened several times on Showtime.
Aside from animals and movies - I love gardening, old cars, reading and watching the chipmunks eat the strawberries in my garden. Feel free to visit the following websites to learn a bit more about me.

There are over 70 million dogs with homes in the United States and I believe that there are at least 40,000 dog parents, animal related businesses and/or non-profit organizations that will be willing to support this effort.
If at any point, it looks like all 40,000 blocks will not be sold, I will focus on developing and distributing a series of public service announcements (PSA) relating to pet ownership responsibility.
